Mission Go! is a
response to the command to:
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to
observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with
you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20
AND
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel
to every creature. Mark 16:15
We are located in beautiful
Fredericksburg Texas, also known as "the Jewel of the Hill Country." Our
small city was first settled by Germans seeking a better life. The
community is nestled in a valley, crisscrossed by meandering streams,
and is home to about 9000 citizens. The architecture is a mixture of
older stone homes, some dating back to the first settlers and every
other period between then and now, including kit homes brought in on the
Rail Road, Craftsman Style homes, and some Mexican influence is
occasionally seen. Our state's name comes from the Tejas Indians, and
Tejas means "Friendship." We are "The Friendship State." We at Mission
Go! appreciate the friendliness of the people, the integrity that is
found in Government, and the respect for Christian values that we enjoy
here in Texas. We wish to extend to a lost and hurting world the message
that Jesus Christ came to save you, heal you, accept you, love you, and
forgive you. Jesus is the greatest friend you will ever have, and to
know Him personally as your Savior, your King, your Redeemer, and your
Deliverer is the most fulfilling and satisfying relationship you will
ever know.
We are unconventional and nontraditional , yet we are relevant and
welcoming to a generation that has been alienated from the Church and
feels that organized religion has no purpose in their lives. We are a
Missional Community, and it is our desire to reproduce Missional
Communities of believers who live on a Mission. As a "Missional
Community" we believe that all those who have been "born of the Spirit"
are by nature part of the Body of Christ and are therefore members of
the Missional Community. No membership is required nor necessary nor
Scriptural other than that a person be "born again." For more about what
we believe our sense of purpose and how you can be a part, feel free to
see our "Statement of Faith" and our "Mission Statement."
Andy White is the Pastor/Teacher of Mission Go! Having been "born again"
at sixteen years old, called by God into a life of service, Andy was
given the inspiration to begin this Ministry as a Coffee House. From
Greater Grace Christian Coffee House, souls have been saved, disciples
have been raised, families have been birthed, Missions have been
launched, and Revival has begun! It is the cry of Andy's heart to see
the Missional Communities stand tall and lift Jesus up, obey the Word of
the living God and be colaborers together with him in the work of
redeeming mankind, and all of creation. As a community of believers it
is our commitment to live out the Mission of God together by
demonstrating the Gospel in a tangible way, and declaring the Gospel to
whomever will hear it. As a Missional Community we worship God together,
live in community, get trained for Ministry, and make disciples. it is
our sincere desire that all Missional Communities would join God in His
Mission to redeem and restore creation. In all these thing we identify
with God's heart as expressed in Scripture:
Matt. 9:36-38
Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were
distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to
his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask
the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest
field." |
