Where we have been and where we are Going!
4/1/2007
The County Woman Magazine April 2007
As we start a new year and
approach the second anniversary of our opening, it is encouraging to
look back and remember what the Lord has done! Our prayer for Revival
continues. Though participants are few, it seems to reflect the history
we read in Scripture. God often uses the few, and more often a few that
the world we live in would never have chosen for the job. It is very
humbling to be among those whom the Lord calls
to be co-laborers together with Him, in the Gospel. We have experienced
joy and sadness, victory and defeat, yet we have remained steadfast in
our commitment to the Lord. His grace has been sufficient and his
blessings have been abundantly more than we could have ever imagined.
More and more we see a cross section of the community frequenting
Greater Grace. We see several Youth Pastors letting go of spiritual
pride and humbling themselves to work together for the sake of the
Gospel. A small but growing group of young people are getting excited
about sharing Jesus with others. Activities are being held at one Church
that welcomes and freely shares with those from other Churches. The
result is that the attitude of exclusivity is slowly retreating and an
attitude of love, acceptance, and respect are taking its place. A new
respect for God and his wonderful grace and love is also beginning to
take hold. Could this be the embers of a Revival Fire? We believe so!
Are there nay sayers among us? Of course, but will we be discouraged? No
way! Let the mockers mock, and the quarrelers quarrel, but we will press
on to Victory here at Greater Grace. Our primary goal in '07 is the
launch of Mission Go! This is the evangelical arm of Greater Grace,
reaching out to the World. We will begin with a local Bible Study that
focuses on Gods gift of grace and our response. The ultimate goal will
be for every participant to Go! as Jesus commanded, and make disciples
of all nations. Join us at Greater Grace, as we follow Jesus!
