Greater Grace Internship Program Agreement
As an
Intern at Greater Grace Christian Coffee House you will be challenged to
learn, and encouraged
To live
what you learn. Greater Grace Christian Coffee House provides a safe,
fun, loving environment
to grow
and develop into the person that God created you to be. We believe that
all people continue to
grow in
knowledge, wisdom, character, and perseverance regardless of age,
gender, socioeconomic
position,
ethnic background, or any category, stereotype etc. We provide hope, the
opportunity to
experience the God whom we know as our Savior, Lord, friend and brother,
Jesus Christ, to know His
love ,
His forgiveness and His redemption.
As an
Intern you will have certain privileges and certain responsibilities. We
are a Christian
Community, working together for the purpose of serving one another in
the Church and out of the
Church.
Church, here being described as all believers, and serving all people in
love regardless of
their
state, condition or place in life.
Every
Intern has the exact same rules, guidelines and expectations. With the
understanding that all
people
are different, the administration of instruction, the extending of
patience, kindness, mercy etc.
may look
different at times, however the intent and implementation of the
guidelines will be
administered in a uniform and fair manner. Support of each Interns
person is the primary purpose of
the
guidelines.
Along
with the responsibility of adhering to the same expectations, come the
same rewards and
privileges. An intern is a team member, and as a team member every
intern represents the purpose and
mission
of Greater Grace Christian Coffee House. If any Intern does not respect
the Team, the purpose
or the
mission of Greater Grace Christian Coffee House, the Intern will forfeit
certain privileges in their
Internship, and if after being given the opportunity to regain the
privileges the Intern chooses not to
participate as required then the Intern will have forfeited their
Internship.
Parents
are the most important people in every young person’s life. The basic
concept, given as a
Command
by God, to Honor your Father and Mother are emphasized here at Greater
Grace. Often a
young
person with difficulties at home will share those difficulties here,
just as they do among friends,
at
school, or in any other setting where they can be heard. The young
Intern is encouraged to
communicate with their parents or guardian. If the young person's
difficulty is extreme, or life
threatening, the parents will be notified immediately. If the young
person is simply having a difficult
time
expressing themselves, we will encourage them to write their thoughts
and feelings and present
them to
their parents. If the young person makes this effort to write their
feelings and thoughts, and
feels
that they simply cannot present this to the parents, it will not be a
forced issue. We are not
counselors here at Greater Grace in the professional sense. Children and
even young adults need their
parents.
They need their parents love, support, discipline, acknowledgement and
sometimes
forgiveness. We are doing what God has called us to do here at Greater
Grace, and parental support is
essential
to your child deriving the most they can from our efforts. In agreeing
to the guidelines in this
Intern
Agreement we are counting on you, the parents, to express the same
support and respect for
your
child's position here as we express for you as a parent. Scheduling,
participation in events,
commitment to the Training Program are all part of what benefits your
child as a person. We most
certainly
believe that God wants everyone to benefit from what we are doing here
equally. This is a
commitment, not a convenience, just as with any job that we as adults
would commit to. If you as a
parent
cannot commit to your child's participation in the Internship and
specifically adhering to the
scheduling, events and Training here at Greater Grace Christian Coffee
House then as a Policy we
cannot
accept your child as an Intern.
